Cooking teaches kids confidence and valuable skills that they can carry with them through life. Children practice basic math when they measure ingredients, reading comprehension as they follow a recipe, team building as they work in groups, and they also build a strong foundation for healthy eating. All of these skills are mixed in with delicious food and fun.
This fall Tiny Chefs presents Books for Cooks, enrichment classes that merge
children’s literature with the fun and deliciousness of food!
Together we’ll explore contemporary children’s classics like…
Adam Rubin’s “Dragons Love Tacos”,
Tomie dePaola “Strega Nona” &
Laura Numeroff’s “If You Give a Pig a Pancake”
After story time, students will learn to make related recipes like Crispy
Black Bean Tacos, Pesto Pasta with Fresh Veggies, and Whole Grain
Pancakes with Blueberry Syrup!
