Open PTA Leadership Positions for the 2025-26 School Year Include:
Events Chair: The events Chair is the Chair of the Events Committee (a standing committee) and oversees all PTA community events. In addition to large events that have their own special committee chairs, the Events Chair is responsible for smaller PTA Community events without chairs, such as donuts with grownups, grandparents’ day, and kindergarten orientation. The Board meets monthly. Special committee (event) chairs reporting to the Events Chair: Fall Fair, International Night, Ice Skating Night, STEAM Night, Lunar New Year, etc. Please know that most of these events already have volunteers for the year so it would be just managing that team. This is a board role.
STEAM Night Co-Chair: We are seeking two (2) STEAM Night Co-Chairs to assist PES staff members in organizing the school’s annual STEAM Night in the spring. The role is flexible depending on the plan for STEAM Night each year. The STEAM Night Chair contacts community partners to exhibit at the event. It generally involves serving as a liaison between school staff and the PTA, participating in planning meetings with staff members, and assisting in areas of programming as needed. This event is usually a weeknight in March or April. The Steam Night Chair reports to the Events Chair.
Book Fair Lead Volunteer: The annual Scholastic Book Fair will happen in October 2025. We are seeking someone who has interest and availability to manage the Book Fair during some of the day shifts? The Day Shift Book Fair Manager position will be an important role to the Book Fair Co-Chairs and keeping the Book Fair successful!
