Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

  • All entrance doors will need to remain locked for safety reasons.
  • Never leave your car unattended in the parent pick up and drop off lane.
  • Before School Programs: Please arrive between 8:05-8:10 am for the 8:15 am program time. Students will be admitted by their program instructor from the side entrance at the front of the carpool lane by Ms. Borra’s office. Do not leave your child unattended outside of the school. If you arrive after 8:15 am, you will need to check in at the main office at the front of the school and let the main office know where they are going so they can direct the student where to go. Please ensure that your child has connected with their program instructor before leaving the school campus.
  • Change of Dismissal Form: Please fill out a change of dismissal form for your child’s afterschool activities. The change of dismissal form can be found on the PES homepage. It should be completed each day your child has an afterschool activity.
  • After School Programs: Please utilize the pick-up lane indicated in gray below for regular after-school programs pick-up. If you plan on walking into the school to pick up your child, please do not block the pick-up lane. Instead, park in the designated parking area. Programs which require a signature for pick-up will utilize the bus lane indicated in blue below.

BAR-T Kids Club provides on-site before care beginning at 7:00 am and after care until 6:30 pm every day. In addition to homework time, children are able to choose from different clubs each month, including sports, STEM activities, cooking, and creative arts. Programming is available for MCPS early release days, Winter/Spring breaks, and in-service days. Drop-in care is also available for registered students.

East West Tae Kwon Do offers an afterschool shuttle service from PES to their Potomac Village location. The program runs until 6:30 pm every day after school and includes homework period, snack, playtime, and Tae Kwon Do lessons.

Georgetown Hill before and after school program beginning at 7:00 am and after care until 6:00 pm. Their Potomac Village location allows for daily MCPS bus transportation to and from PES. They offer programs on most MCPS early release days, Winter/Spring breaks, and in-service days as well. Drop-in is available for registered students.
