October Reminders

One more week until Halloween!  Let the countdown begin!

Here’s your PES PTA checklist for this week:

  1. Today
    • Sign up to bring something or donate $5 to your child’s class Halloween party if you haven’t already
      (check the class Sign Up Genius you received from your child’s teacher or room parents through the MCPS Portal or contact Adina Affens adina.affens@gmail.com if you did not receive one)
    • Send some non-perishable food in with your child for the Kids Helping Kids Food Drive going on until the end of October
    • Get your Box Tops ready and send them in by Friday, Oct. 26th.
    • Verify your Household in AtoZ and join the PTA to get access to the online and printed school directory for email addresses of your child’s classmates!
    • Sign up for the MCPS Portal to get important information from your child’s teachers!
  2. Thursday Oct 25th
    • Students wear blue or white to show they can manage stress and keep it cool.
    • Parents of 3rd-5th Graders — consider going to the Principal’s Coffee at Susan Lifsey’s house 9:15am
  3. Friday Oct 26th
    • Students wear Potomac Mustang gear or green to show school spirit!  You can buy it online in AtoZ.
  4. Wednesday Oct 31st
    • Send your child’s costume with them to school to put on just before the parade
    • Come to the Halloween parade and enjoy the class party celebrations at 2:15pm!
    • Please makes sure the foods brought in for the Halloween parties are completely NUT FREE!
  5. November
    • Get ready for some great events including Hangin’ with the Mustangs – Police/Fire/Rescue/EMS/Docs, hear Dr. Allie speak at our General PTA Meeting on how to have the best parent-teacher conference, and enjoy our new Family Movie Night!  Check back in November for more details.
