Know an Outstanding Teacher?
Nominations are now open for several competitions in honor of outstanding teachers.
Marian Greenblatt Excellence in Education Award which recognizes full time teachers in grades K-12 who promote student success. There is also a separate award that recognizes new teachers in their 1st-4th years of teaching.
The Washington Post Teacher of the Year Award
(formerly the Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award) recognizes a full-time teacher in grades PreK-12 who instills a students desire to learn and achieve.
The Shirley J. Lowrie Thank You for Teaching Award
honors extraordinary elementary school teachers who have a deep dedication to the teaching profession.
